Before a feed can be set up within Transmit, we first need to create a schema based on the data set you would like to test.
A schema can serve two purposes within a feed:
It can be used as an input schema where it will be used by Transmit to read incoming files, or it can be used as an output schema where it will be used by Transmit to write new files.
However, sometimes you may only need to create one schema for testing purposes, please see the various testing options below:
Test Transmit using multiple schemas based on two sample data sets that you have provided. This method allows you to test Transmits data transformation and transportation capabilities using data that is relevant to your business or industry.
Test Transmit using a schema based on a sample data set that you have provided and one of the preconfigured schemas that can be found within the Transmit schema library. This option may be a favoured by those users who currently import or export data feeds to or from one of the many portals/distributors who have a preconfigured schema on Transmit.
Test Transmit using only one schema based on a unique data set that you have provided. This schema will be used as both the input & output, this can be a unique data set you have provided or one of the preconfigured schemas found within the Transmit schema library. This method is often used as a quick way to test Transmits data transportation capabilities.
If you would like to test Transmit but don’t now how to send your XML, please refer to our sample files below that demonstrate how you can send us your data.
Sample File #1
Data sample where a single element is used to open and close each listing.
Sample File #2
Data sample where more than one element is used to open and close each listing.
